I am interested in the multiple meanings that things hold and in how they change through relationships. Using thread, fabric, and photography as my primary materials, I create works that explore these ideas.
In my recent practice, I create collages by stitching together photographs of everyday scenes. For me, this act is both simple, like a casual and almost playful process, and at the same time complex.
By sewing, I embed time into the work, preserving memories while also exploring how they transform as they fluidly connect and disconnect.
物事のもつ多義性や、関係性の中で変化するあり方に関心を持ち、糸や布、写真を主な素材として作品を制作している。
近作では、日常の風景の写真を縫い合わせるコラージュを行っている。この行為は私にとって手遊びのような、単純なものであると同時に複雑な行為でもある。
