Next to the disused Manda Coal Mine stand the ruins of a knitting factory called Aso Knit, where widows of miners are said to have worked after mining accidents. Using threads found at the factory, I knitted a continuous ring, incorporating materials collected from both the factory and the coal mine, and passed it through the two sites.
旧万田坑の隣には、アソニットと呼ばれる編み物工場の跡地があり、炭鉱事故で夫を亡くした未亡人たちがそこで働いていたとされている。工場で見つけた糸を編み、工場と炭鉱跡の両方で集めた素材を編み込みながら一つの環をつくり、それを二つの場所へ通した。
