Traces in Flux begins with stitching on a white fabric over which moving images are projected. The work is created through a process of pausing video, stitching, and advancing frame by frame, allowing traces to accumulate in relation to time.
During exhibition, projections shift between two directions, revealing different readings of the same stitched surface. What appears fixed becomes unstable, as the traces respond to changes in light, perspective, and viewing position.
《Traces in Flux》は、白い布に対して映像を投影しながら縫いを重ねていく作品である。映像を停止し、縫い、コマを進めるという反復を通して、時間に応答する痕跡が蓄積されていく。
展示では、二方向からの投影が交互に切り替わることで、同一の縫い跡が異なる像として立ち現れる。固定されたものとして見える痕跡は、光や視点の変化によって揺らぎ続けるものへと変化する。
